Hope for Hoda in Gaza
United States
Hi everyone. I’ve been lucky enough come in contact with a Palestinian woman in Gaza and she desperately needs help. Her name is Hoda. She is in North Gaza with her husband and two children and they are starving. Without immediate access to food and shelter they will die.
They lost their home and their business immediately after Oct. 7th and having been moving from place to place for two years. They lack even the most basic necessities and are hanging on by a thread.
Food is scarce and expensive and there is zero aid coming in. Right now it costs hundreds of dollars a day to have just one meal.
100% of this campaign will go to food, clothing, a tent for them to live in, and basic necessities like blankets, hygiene care, etc.
A note from Hoda:
“Hello, my name is Hoda from North Gaza, I am 23 years old, married, my husband’s name is Sharif, he is 27 years old, mother of two beautiful children, Baraa, 3 and a half years old, and Sand, 2 years old. My husband’s job was a furniture factory, my home and warehouses were completely destroyed. We had a home full of security, warmth and love because of the brutal occupation, the home of our dreams was destroyed. Our life before the war was full of happiness and joy, and after October 7, our life changed to a hell of displacement, hunger, a life of tents and sleeping in the streets. My children were deprived of their most basic rights, and because my young children crave food and freedom.”
Huda, Sharif, Baraa and Sand are okay but the occupation is getting worse by the hour. This morning their camp took fire from a plane flying overhead. There were casualties and damage to the camp and surrounding areas.
Quick question for everyone: is there anyone out there that would consider a regular weekly? It can be a small amount. Anything helps. Even $1 a day or $5 a week. Thanks to you all for helping these wonderful people I am lucky enough to call my friends.
Attached is a video of Baraa and Sand. They unfortunately are sick from the polluted water and don’t have access to much in terms of hygiene care on top of it being in the 80s to 90s every day.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone that has donated so far. Unfortunately, money doesn’t go very far in Gaza right now, as there is a 45% service fee to get access to physical currency. The food prices are over inflated because the IDF isn’t letting aid and and there’s essentially no law so there is price gouging and theft constantly.
But your generosity has kept this family going.
$5000 is the first goal to reach so I’m hoping some previous can help out periodically throughout this campaign. Please donate if you can and resharing this fundraiser with friends and family is the best way to help out. Thank you all so much!!
